WHAT WE COLLECT AND WHY
We collect personal data when you ask for a quote, book a service, or get in touch. Most of it comes directly from you.
| Why we use it | What we use | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| To answer your enquiry, prepare a quote or call you back | Name, email, phone, collection and delivery postcodes or towns, preferred dates, your answers to the quote questions (such as property size, floors, items or vehicle), access notes and the best time to call | Steps you ask us to take before a contract |
| To carry out the service you book | The above, plus full addresses, contact on the day, key or access arrangements, vehicle registration where relevant | Performance of a contract |
| To invoice you and keep accounts | Name, billing address, booking and payment records | Legal obligation |
| To handle claims, complaints and insurance | Booking details, correspondence, photos of items or vehicles where needed | Legitimate interests and legal claims |
| To send you news or offers | Name and email | Your consent, only if you ask to hear from us. You can withdraw it at any time. |
Please only tell us about health or mobility needs if they affect how we plan the job, for example access help. If you do, we use that information only for that purpose, with your consent.
HOW THIS WEBSITE WORKS
Your answers in our quote form stay in your browser until you press “Send request” or “Request a call back”. Your request then goes to our bookings inbox by email, and into our customer records system, where the team keeps track of your quote and booking. That system is hosted by Cloudflare with its data stored in the European Union, and only authorised members of our team can sign in to it.
With your request we also note which page of our website you sent it from, the website that linked you to us (for example a search engine), any campaign name in the link you followed, and your answer to “How did you find us?” if you give one. This tells us which of our pages and adverts are useful. It is read when you press send; nothing is stored on your device.
To keep out spam, the form may use Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that does not use cookies or track you across sites. If our online form is ever unavailable, it prepares an email in your own email app instead, which you review and send yourself.
The 3D journey runs entirely in your browser, and the site’s fonts and images are served from our own website. To understand how many people visit and which pages they read, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits in aggregate without cookies and without identifying you or following you across other websites. We don’t use advertising or tracking tools on this site.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
- Enquiries that don’t lead to a booking: 12 months after we last worked on them, then deleted automatically.
- Booking, invoicing and accounting records: 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as UK tax law requires.
- Our system’s security log (who opened or changed a record, and when): 2 years.
- Records about a claim or complaint: until it is resolved, plus the legal period in which a claim could be brought.
- Marketing consent: until you withdraw it.
HOW WE PROTECT IT
We limit access to people who need it to do their job, and share only the details needed for each task. Our customer records system sits behind a separate secure sign-in, each team member can only do what their role allows, and every time a record is opened, changed or exported it is written to a log that can’t be altered. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. If a breach ever puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the ICO as the law requires.
YOUR RIGHTS
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- erase your data in certain circumstances;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- move data you gave us to another provider (data portability);
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it.
To use any of these rights, email support@nurline.co.uk. It’s free, and we will reply within one month.
COMPLAINTS
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first and we’ll try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO):
